Important Points & Summary of the CBSE released circular regarding the OBJECTIVE CRITERIA to lay out Class 10 results !

CBSE recently released a circular regarding the OBJECTIVE CRITERIA on which class 10th results for the session 2020-21 will be released 






Important points to note in that circular  are as follows-

1. 20 marks of each subject will be based on internal assessment as usual.

2. The rest 80 marks for each subject which were to be based on board examinations will be based on the following exams for the session 2020-21.

                                      Periodic Test/Pen-Paper Test - 10 Marks

               Mid-Term Examination/Half Yearly Exams - 30 Marks

                                           Pre - Board Examinations - 40 Marks  

3. Each School will organize a result committee consisting of 5 teachers each of Mathematics, Social Science , Science & two languages . Two more teachers from neighbouring school should be co-opted by the school  as external members of the committee.


4. The
re are some schools where one or more of the above three categories of tests/exams have not been conducted. Further, there may be differences in terms of the mode of conduct of examination i.e., Online/Offline. Also, it is possible that some of the students may not have appeared in any or some of the examinations conducted by the schools.

5. In all the above cases the result committee has to explain on which basis 80 marks are allotted. 

6. If any candidate has not appeared in any of the assessments conducted by the school, the school may conduct an offline/online or a telephonic one to one assessment and record documentary evidences to certify the recommendations. The student may be assessed objectively on that basis by the school out of maximum marks of each subject.

7. In case after application of grace marks policy by the board, if any student is not able to meet the qualifying criterion , he/she will be placed in "Essential Repeat" OR "Compartment" category.

8. As per the scheme of studies by the board, students are allowed to offer any combination of subjects, without any streaming, hence, schools should also follow the same.

9. 10th Board results will be declared before 20th June 2021.
